Kyembogo Farmers Association (KYEFA)
Founded in 1998 with 15 families willing to invest in developing Kyembogo Farmers Association, the group
has grown into a network of 36 associations serving 936 families in various village communities who have banded and bonded together to work for sustainable livelihood.

KYEFA's Accomplishments to date!

Created a democratic organization with elected officers that studies, evaluates and meets farm family needs.

Purchased a 1/2 acre of land

Built a Meeting Hall/Education Center where training forums are held in updating farming techniques that are eco-friendly.

Purchased better seeds, improved cows, goats, chickens with stronger immune systems

Developed a micro-finance system so members can borrow money for creating businesses and improving their homesteads.

Applied for and became a Non-Governmental Organization in 2008 recognized by Uganda.

Purchased 40 acres of land to develop cash crops and animals as a way to financial independence.

Began a water project for hydrating their families, animals and crops.

Continues to care for the most vulnerable in their midst - widows and orphans and the most vulnerable children - living with HIV/AIDS
